PTFE-braided gland packing made of expanded PTFE yarn and graphite, impregnated with a unique lubricant. The graphite is integrated into the yarn so that when rubbed, the packing stays smooth.
Expanded PTFE with graphite packing is used for sealing of Pumps, mixers, valves and sliders. The PTFE packing is relevant in all chemical conditions but is primarily used to seal hostile chemical systems, air and steam up to 280°C.
The areas of use are sealing of machinery in the chemical, pharmaceutical, petroleum refining and food processing sectors, particularly in the power supply industry's chemical services, etc.
The Packing has very excellent heat conductivity due to the graphite, which determines the option to seal tubes in high-motion pumps with fast peripheral speed.
Advantages
Expanded PTFE with graphite packing can be used for acids as well as for bases. The packing has a very small shrinkage, it does not loose mass, it is very versatile, it does not develop old and it does not become brittle.
